Continuum (2025)

This publication forms part of the artist’s Continuum series, which explores ancestral connection across two hundred generations, interpreting temporality through the belief systems, ceremonial landscapes, ritual monuments, mark-making, and excavated artefacts of Neolithic Ireland.

Combining moving-image stills and animated sculptural forms with poetry, screen-printed symbolic overlays, and traditional bookbinding, the work evokes the portal motif as metaphor: a liminal threshold between life and afterlife, self and ancestry, presence and memory, where the veil to ‘Otherworlds’ grows thin. By translating moving image into tactile form, rendered through translucent substrates and layered imagery, the publication invites a slower, more intimate, dreamlike encounter, echoing the urgency of re-attuning to ancestral knowledge systems and the cyclical rhythms of the more-than-human world.
